Step 6: Set the scaling options

Choose the image scaling algorithm from the Algorithm drop-down list.

The following algorithms are available (starting from less complicated to more complex):

Keep in mind that complex algorithms require additional computing and take more time to apply.

Click the button to set up resize properties and to estimate the quality of an enlarged image. The Scaling algorithm setup dialog box will open.

You may choose the image scaling algorithm from the Algorithm drop-down list.

To estimate the quality of the image after scaling, click on any part of the poster in the Poster window.

The Preview window shows the real size of the poster.

Image scaling algorithms are applied only to bitmap files. Vector graphics (WMF, EMF files) are easily resized without loss of quality.

Image scaling factor is shown in the status bar. For vector WMF and EMF files, it is always 1.
